My name is Paul.
I work from home almost full time and I would like to share my experiences with you.
I am your average North American guy who is married to that remarkable woman below, we have two boys and live in a Canadian suburb.
My main career currently consists of working as a registered nurse setting up community health services for people with care needs at home or in community clinics.
It is a rewarding job, helping people and working from home allows me to be there for my family.
I do this work from the comfort of my home for several years now.
It didn’t start with working from home, it took some convincing of management, and I will tell you more about that on this website.
I wasn’t always a nurse.
I’ve worked, studied in different fields and continue to expand my knowledge and experiences.
I was raised on a dairy farm and lived that life for 26 years, a true home based business.
I have studied at Agriculture Business and Electronic Engineering Colleges.
Although I never completed those last two fields of study, I never felt it was a waste of time, I learned a lot from these courses that have helped me in my current career and business.
I did woodworking before having children, mainly building furniture that would sell quite well, but the timing to continue in that field wasn’t right.
I am looking forward to returning to that business in the near future.
I miss that certain zen feeling one gets when working with wood.
Currently, I am expanding my other personal businesses, including this online blog site.
This relatively new online business will allow me to remove the work hour constraints placed by my current job.
The online business provides me with the flexibility to manage my own schedule. Ultimately I would like to retire from my day (home based) job completely and run the online business from anywhere in the world.
Your reason for searching “work from home”, or “start my own online business” is likely different than anybody else searching the same topics.
That being said, the main outcome is usually similar to my own goals.
You want to have a lifestyle that has the flexibility that fits your needs, whether it be to have a certain income, work from home or from anywhere in the world and set your own schedule.
This is the reason I’ve created this website, it is meant to show you what I have experienced so far.
The information will gradually grow as I write about my experiences working from home, what worked or not worked for me.
I will also write about other work from home opportunities that I have researched where I have friends and family that already do that work.
I would like to guide you on this journey to find the lifestyle that works for you and hopefully avoid the traps and scams that I have encountered over the years.

Hi, my name is Brenda,
I am excited you have chosen to click here to see what I can offer you in terms of advice and information regarding your desire to join a team that allows you to work from home.
I was born and raised in a small Northern Ontario town with five siblings and two great parents as role models. They are hard working ordinary French Canadian folk who instilled in their children the values and morals that help pave the road to happiness.
I pursued my education in Medical Laboratory Technology.
I got a job in a private laboratory and met my husband of now 20 years. With this wonderful, loving man, I was lucky enough to bare two amazing boys, who are my best accomplishments to date!!! Love you, boys….xo
Now 17 and 15, respectively, they are starting to spread their wings and let’s face it, not as keen to spend, dare I say it “quality time” with their mother….lol!
With all this free time, I didn’t know what to do with myself anymore….:)
So, I decided that I wanted to do something for me.
It’s been a while since I could think of something that I would like to do, and actually, foresee myself trying it! So, I jumped….
One day, an opportunity came knocking at my door….I not only opened the door to it but invited it in!
For some reason, the timing, my state of mind, my family life….everything felt like this was the right thing for me to do.
Everyone has their own reason to become an entrepreneur.
I decided to embark on this adventure because I needed to show myself that I could do it!
I knew I had the social skills but what was missing was the motivation they want and the fact of stepping out of my comfort zone was just outright scary.
Not sure what happened, but that day, I found my motivation to have better family life, better relationships, better me-time.
So much so, I could smell the ocean air and the independence that a business owner has…the freedom to work around a more lenient schedule and have the time to be there whenever my children and husband need me to be.
For me, it’s not always about the money….it’s about the lifestyle I am choosing to lead which gives me the flexibility of being more present in my family’s life.
Unfortunately the networking marketing business I was interested in turned out to be a scam.
You can read more about it by reading our blog HERE.
I can tell you, the decision of becoming a network marketing business owner wasn’t as hard as I thought.
The hard part was knowing when to stop and count my losses.
I had other businesses like the home-based retail merchandising business I did with my husband for years.
Check out my blogs and leave your comments. I would love to hear from you!
