Teach Piano Online

Teaching Online is getting easier every day!

Do you have the ability to play and Teach piano?

If you answered Yes

then Teaching Piano online may be the right fit for you

If you are new to the online business then you have come to the right place.

Here you will learn the steps on how to create an online presence so that you can teach piano online.

Start with a Teaching Platform

You will need to create an online space where you can centralize and manage all your content.

That means you will need to create a website, create your online brand.

You don't have to pay an arm and a leg to host a website nor do you need a degree in HTML coding.

You can still get free hosting platforms and you can read about my 3 top suggestions here.

...or you can read the description about our # 1 recommended hosting site where you can learn and have support building your online business.

Avoid relying solely on uploading your content to social media sites.

Today many bloggers and video-bloggers (vloggers), also known as You-Tubers rely on platforms that don't belong to them.

You may be wondering what I mean by this but first let me ask you this question.

Did you know that the most profitable sites on the internet do not own any of their content?

What I mean is many of these bloggers or vloggers will create content and upload it directly to sites like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, or Snapchat to name a few examples.

That means that all their content is hosted on sites that do not belong to them and those social media sites get to profit from their content.

Now don't get me wrong, the creators of that content can also profit from that type of platform.

You just need to be aware that hosting sites like YouTube can decide one day to cancel your account.

You may have built that account/brand for years and gathered thousands if not millions of followers only to be lost in an instant without notice or explanation.

It will be up to you to convince them that you deserve to keep your account live.

So my advice is to avoid using social media sites as the foundation of your brand.

Social media sites to support and promote your brand but avoid putting all your eggs in one basket.

Get Traffic to Your Website

After you have created your website you will need to bring people over to your teaching website.

This can be done in a number of ways.

My preferred way of getting traffic is the FREE kind.

You can get free traffic to your website from people that use search engines like Google or Bing/Yahoo.

This type of traffic is called "Organic" traffic.

Now don't be surprised that you are not getting any traffic to your website at first.

Search engines may not even know your site exists. They need to index your site before you show up on any of their search result pages.

If your site is not indexed then it is like you are waiting in an emergency room at a hospital for hours and you haven't even gone to the front desk to register yet.

You will need to follow some steps to get your site indexed a little faster by following few steps.  I wrote a whole blog about it here but you will get more in-depth training with the training platform available at Wealthy Affiliate.

Once you do get your site indexed then you need to give it time, usually 3 to 6 months before search engines will even trust your site to be a reliable source of information.

If waiting for free organic traffic takes too long for your liking then you can start using social media to help spread the word.

Again, this is another way at getting free traffic to your site but takes a little more hands on work. You will need to share you posts on different social media sites, share and re-share other people's posts so they return  the favor. If you are lucky it may go viral and send a swarm of visitors to your site.

This in turn will also help with your search engine rankings as they see your site as being interesting and possibly trending where they will in turn push your site up closer to the first page of search results, in turn gets you more traffic.

If all that fails then you can resort to paid traffic. You can setup ad campaigns with Adwords from Google, Bing Ads, or number of other pay-per-click (PPC) type of advertising services available online.

Pay-per-click advertising takes some practice, so be sure to set daily budget limits to your ads otherwise those clicks can add up really quickly.

The cool thing with PPC is how fast you can flow traffic to your site.  Many companies rely heavily on PPC method of traffic and are still able to make a descent profit, so it is not something to shy away from completely.

Make Money from Your Training

I'm thinking  that one of the reasons you created your training website is to make some money from it.

That is where you need to learn how you want to monetize your site.

There are a few ways you can do this.

  1. Paid Subscriptions
  2. Sale of a product you create
  3. Ads
  4. Commissions
1-Paid Subscriptions
  • You can set-up your website so that people must sign-up and pay a fee to access your training site. It can be a monthly fee,a fee per course or a one time flat fee. How you set it up is your choice.  Tip:  Most successful paid subscription sites offer a free trial so people can try it out before buying.
2-Sell a Product You Created
  • You can create a product, most likely a digital product that people can download from your site after they have paid an up front fee.  You can provide online support through your website related to your product.
3- Income from Ads
  • You can provide your training for free and rely solely on ads placed on your website. The training is free for your users but if they click on one of the ads on your site you get paid a few cents per click at no cost to the user.
4-Income from Commissions
  • A commission based income is where you can provide your training service for free but make an income on sales of related products or commissions from referrals you make to other services. You only get paid a commission  if the reader decides to pay for a service that you referred them to. This can also be called affiliate marketing.
